My acknowledgment today goes to Mrs. Barbie because her genuine care and empathy have really warmed my heart. Her care has not changed although my child's treatment plan and recommended care plans have been increased and are somewhat demanding. Mrs. Barbara has never once made me feel like my child is too much to handle. She has several other patients to attend to besides my child but yet she still finds time to come into the room and chart just so I can go and grab lunch from the cafeteria. She does this without me even having to ask her because she pays attention to details and she knows that he requires a conscious person in the room with him at all times. It's little things like that that really warm my heart and it's a constant reminder as to why I choose NCH over and over again. We are so grateful to have a nurse who goes above and beyond and makes me feel like my son is just as important as any other patient. Thanks, Mrs. Barbara for your compassionate heart.
