The way Jenna brushes mom’s hair, strokes her head, lovingly talks to her, straightens her gown, endlessly.
Jenna has made an extraordinarily positive impact on my mother’s stay here at Ball. Our whole family has benefitted from her compassionate sincere involvement from day 1. She has patiently fielded constant questions from my brother, sister (who is overseas), and me! I have witnessed her do so many small things that show huge respect for her patients. The way she brushes mom’s hair, strokes her head, lovingly talks to her, straightens her gown, endlessly. Her voice is reassuring, calming, and confident. Mom completely trusts Jenna! As do we! My mother is 98 – coming to the end of a beautiful life. Jenna has and is helping me gradually let go of my mom. She is not one for “canned” responses. She truly listens to my concerns and fears – thereby again helping mom – by helping her family. It is all so connected, the “care”! After working, I’m not sure how many days in a row, she said she would sit in on our family meeting (on her day off). This is to lend support, but also to ensure continuity of care as we prepare for my mother’s final days. Just amazing dedication and Kindness!
