I came into the emergency room with high blood pressure, high blood sugar, extreme anxiety, and a potential infection. I was terrified, alone, because I don’t have a lot of family in the area, and just extremely overwhelmed. Daniel’s immediate concern and genuine interest in what was going on with me showed how much he really cared about my overall health and well-being. I’ve never experienced someone able to calm me down and help me relax and feel safe as much as Daniel did in such a vulnerable and scary time in my life. He went above and beyond to make me feel heard, safe, and to know I was in the right place and would be well taken care of. After another nurse took over, I never saw him again, and it felt like he was literally an angel who was in the right place at the right time. His calm and effective demeanor made my experience so much less scary and chaotic. I will be forever impacted by my experience at Deaconess because of the amazing angel who was there for me when I was most vulnerable and scared. He has the perfect personality for this field and was truly amazing. I will forever be thankful for how he helped me in such a low moment in my life.
