Mary has checked on me throughout her shift. She brought me my meds at the right time they are due when I am in pain. She gets my pain meds to me at the right time. When she sees me down, she comforts me by picking up my spirit. To me, she is one of your best nurses.

Mary always brought into my room a smile and a happy spirit. She has a very kind, nurturing way about her. Early in my hospital stay, when I was most ill, my wife and daughter came to my window and placed heart-shaped post-it notes with love and encouragement written on them. The window blinds obscured them and Mary creatively raised the blinds and fixated them so I could read the notes and see my wife and daughter. A week later, she was my discharge nurse and she went outside and collected all the heart post-its off the window, so I could take them home. She went the "extra mile" for me.
