Kayla was easy to talk to and easy to connect with. She did not just treat me as a patient but as a real person.
Mental Health does not discriminate. It doesn’t care who your family is, what job you have, or how much money you make. It can happen to anyone. Recently, I realized I was no longer in control of my mental health problems and needed help. I was admitted to the hospital. I was scared, nervous and honestly was expecting the worst. Kayla helped my fears and did so much more. Not only did she provide my medication daily, but she was easy to talk to and easy to connect with. She did not just treat me as a patient but as a real person. You can tell being a nurse is not just a job for her. She really cares about her patients. She was never bothered by me asking for, what felt like a million things. She was always there with a smile asking me if I needed anything else. And yes, you could tell she was smiling even with her mask on! Kayla goes above and beyond not only to care for her patients but to connect with them and make them feel at home as much as she can. A scary place was turned into a safe place because of her without even trying, just being herself. From getting the correct medication to helping with paperwork. Kayla does it all.
