Mr. Ali has shown true reflective leadership in his decision-making by working with his team to ensure that his team is well trained, competent, and skilled in the area they are working in.
Being a leader makes you wear different hats in one day. This can be being authoritarian when having to make a difficult urgent decisions to being transformational when talking about the mission and vision and path of the nursing department. An effective leader uses all the tools available to them to ensure that the objectives are achieved in the most satisfactory way.

Mr. Ali has shown true reflective leadership in his decision-making by working with his team to ensure that his team is well trained, competent, and skilled in the area they are working in. This has been especially challenging during this Covid Pandemic where we have redeployed staff and have to ensure the nurses have the correct skills and training to support them in the assigned areas in a very busy tertiary hospital.

Our Director of Nursing Mr. Ali Al Yasin has shown exemplary commitments to the patients of SFHP by ensuring his core team is well trained, committed to patient care improvement strategies, and ensures that there is a cohesive communication strategy in place to allow a direct flow of vital information is available to the staff at the hospital.

Mr. Ali has shown commitment to his staff and dedication to the hospital by leading by example, by being on the front line when required, being visible in all areas of the hospital that he is responsible for as well as following up with staff on his daily rounds where he interacts with staff and patient. During our Covid pandemic, Mr. Ali was in the hospital 24hrs a day working alongside his staff on the front line, arranging covid swabbing sessions and patient covid admissions to the hospital. Mr. Ali was the crucial link between nursing and other Hospital Executive Administration teams during this pandemic arranging 4hrly updates on ER and Hospital Admissions. Mr. Ali also set an example of excellent leadership in patient communication by reducing anxiety in patients being admitted through the respiratory zone ensuring the correct staff was in place to ensure a smooth transition throughout the hospital for patients being admitted positive for Covid 19. He is a true DAISY Nurse Leader.
