Jeena treated him with such care and was friendly with us and made us feel comfortable leaving our precious gift in her care.
My son was born prematurely at 35 weeks, 2 days and had to immediately be transported to the NICU after birth. This was not part of our plan. Having him be taken away from his mother minutes after birth was one of the hardest and saddest experiences of my life. Upon being admitted to the NICU, our baby underwent a lot of treatments led by an amazing medical team that slowly nursed him to health and stabilized him. Since I was still a patient in the hospital myself, we could visit the NICU around the clock and visit with our little guy. We would spend all day with him, and visit him for every feeding during the night shift.
Jeena cared for our baby J for several evenings and went above and beyond in every possible way. She made an otherwise unbearable and heart-wrenching experience so much more tolerable. Her compassion towards us and our baby was evident. She treated him with such care and was friendly with us and made us feel comfortable leaving our precious gift in her care. She shared tips for caring for him at home, celebrated the smallest of victories with us, and made us laugh during a very challenging time.
After the baby was moved from the level 2 NICU, she checked in on us and made sure we were ok, and again, went above and beyond in making us feel comfortable and reassured. I could never repay her for her kindness and compassion, and the way she treated my baby, and every other baby whose parents were unable to be with them at the moment. She truly had a profound effect on our experience, and for that, we are forever grateful.
