Thank you to Manju for her kind and gentle care during my Mom’s hospitalization.
My mom was admitted to your floor on Friday early evening. She is almost 87 years old. She needed blood transfusions for a drop in Hemoglobin. Manju was her PM RN. I have been an RN for 35 years and have never experienced the kindest and gentle care that was given to my mom by Manju. My mom was scared and extremely anxious over the whole admission (my mom is very independent and lives on her own). My mom had asked for something to calm her down.
Manju took the time to talk to my mom, asking her what she normally does when she feels anxious, offering her many options. She then asked my mom if she would like her to sit with her for a while to make her feel less anxious (this touched my heart). I have been in the hospital with my mom on other occasions and have never seen the kind and compassionate care given to her as portrayed by Manju. (This type of care is truly what SMH stands for.)
Thank you to Manju for her kind and gentle care during my Mom’s hospitalization. I don’t think that we would have done as well without her! I was also surprised to hear that she is a new RN. Her Clinical expertise was by far amazing. Thank you!
