I am a staff member and I delivered my baby at Eskenazi. My labor and delivery nurse was Victoria. She was an absolute godsend for me. As soon as she came on shift, I knew I was in great hands. I was in a ton of pain and waiting for my epidural. She was calm and supportive which is exactly what I needed at the moment. She was very positive and supportive to not only me but also my husband. This is our first baby so neither of us knew what to expect. She was an excellent advocate for me when it came to things I needed and wanted for my delivery. Victoria was not afraid to stand up for me when I was unable to advocate for myself. She is an asset to this hospital and I could not have done it without her. I have no doubt my labor process would have gone a lot differently if she was not my nurse that night. She is an excellent example of what a DAISY Nurse is and I want to thank her from the bottom of my heart for making my labor and delivery process the best it could be.
