My mother died in this hospital on the 3rd floor over a year ago. As we were sitting on the Cardiac Unit preparing for surgery day, I was scared and so was dad. We knew that we had to go back to CVICU post-op for his care. We didn't want to be in the same room that she died in. Kana took the time to listen to our fears. His caring spirit did not stop there. He said, "Let's take a walk". He took me to the CVICU to find the room my mom passed in. It gave me a moment to grieve. He then partnered with the nursing team in CVICU to ensure that my dad wouldn't be in this room. I know you are thinking this is a small thing, however it is the small things that make a huge impact as this did with our family. Kana - we are forever grateful for your caring spirit! God Bless
