Under Katie's care, my father's spirits were able to be lifted enough to tell each one of us that he loved us.
My father passed away last night from COVID pneumonia. He was 85. Katie’s compassion for both him and his family was evident and shined through like a bright light in a dark time. So much so, it was evident that my father had a special feeling and bond for Katie each time she came in to do her checkup. Mostly unresponsive to us kids, sons and daughter, peering through the glass, it was beyond words the comfort we felt that was visually noticeable in my father's demeanor and morale the second he realized Katie was back and by his side once again. Under her care, my father's spirits were able to be lifted enough to tell each one of us that he loved us. And through Katie was able to shower in Love that we were trying our best to convey as mere observers from outside a glass window. She was a true angel here on earth that spread as much comfort to each and every one of us whenever she had the opportunity to do so. In addition, as we mourn the passing of this great man, the efforts of compassion, the actions of love, and selfless caring that Katie poured over the whole process helped in immeasurable amounts to lessen the pain. We will forever be grateful!!
