Rebecca was nominated by a patient who remembers her kindness and calm presence during a procedure in the operating room:

"I was a patient in for a very routine procedure. This was the first time I was going to be under general anesthesia. For me, this was not routine… When I was brought into the operating room, my nerves caught up with me a bit when I was being pre-oxygenated for the upcoming intubation. As soon as that tear fell, Becca was right there. I felt her hand grab mine. And she repeatedly reminded me that I was safe, it was going to be done soon, and I wouldn't remember a thing…
