My husband was admitted initially for chest pains which turned into a gallbladder filled with gallstones that needed to be removed. Carley was very gentle with him but she also made him laugh. She eased his worries and spoke loud enough that he could understand her. My husband is hard of hearing and when his hearing aids are out, it is very difficult for him to understand someone. She explained everything in detail and was not too busy to check on him for me when he went down for surgery and I did not get a text to update me. Carley is a joy to be around and has a very caring heart which is really important for nursing staff but especially when a patient is unsure about what is going on and just needs to feel like someone cares. So much of the time these days, we feel like numbers but Carley made us feel like people.
