Tami's ability to put everything into perspective made the two of us feel confident with doctors and the care we were getting.
I came in to get induced with my first baby on Monday. We were all preparing for a vaginal birth. Tami was the pm nurse. From her initial check in with my husband and me, she put us both at ease with her communication and thoroughness. As things started to take a turn, my baby's heart rate dropped, she was extremely calming and supportive. Tami also explained early on what would happen if the emergency team was needed so when multiple doctors entered my room at once I was not as shocked. This happened twice and both times Tami was right by my side communicating with the doctors and myself. After we were able to stabilize the baby's heart rate and it was just Tami, myself, and my husband in the room she gave us a moment we needed together but fully explained everything that happened. Her authenticity and care came through very clearly as she was explaining it was a scary moment that could have been traumatic, but Tami's ability to put everything into perspective made the two of us feel confident with doctors and the care we were getting. Then it turned 11:00 PM and Tami had to leave. Both my husband and I were bummed because we felt bonded with Tami but knew we were in good hands. As we said our goodbyes, Tami said she would see us the next day and she did come to visit us. Again her authentic care was clear as day as the three of us venture home I want to greatly thank Tami for all she did for us!
