Keven was super. He went above and beyond the call of duty. He treated me like his best friend.
Many times people will complain when things go wrong or do not go the way they had planned. I feel like I have to express my thanks and praise for every person I met while I was at the hospital – in the COVID Unit. I would say that each person (doctor, nurse, PTA person, clean-up person, and all the others) made and had a positive impact on me. Everyone was friendly, kind, positive, well mannered, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional in what they did. There were times when I was afraid – not able to breathe – helpless, and the people came alongside me to reassure me that things were ok and they had everything under control. Each person treated me like a king and the most important patient they had. There were two people in particular that I would like to express my thanks to.
On the day shift, Keven was super. He went above and beyond the call of duty. He treated me like his best friend. He kept my family in touch with what was going on with me, talking to my daughter every day with an update. I can’t express with words how important he was to my recovery. Thank you, Keven!
And, on the night shift, Laticia was my strength. She kept me calm when I was panicking with shortness of breath and she was probably the best IV sticker and blood taker I had. I watched her several times, when I could tell she was upset or not pleased with what was going on and used her control to get things under control. And one night she hugged me to reassure me that everything was ok. I appreciate you Laticia, thank you!
Overall, my stay at St. Michael Hospital was a plus to my recovery and my restored health. Again, my words are insufficient to express my thanks for how you treated me and showed me respect while I was there. I have been home for 9 days and am still recovering slowly but surely. I can tell I am getting stronger. I thank God for who each of you are, as a professional worker at the hospital, but also as a person, who cared for me personally and not just as another patient. It meant the world to me!!! Thank you all!
