Paige is new to Nurseline but that didn't stop her from going above and beyond for a patient and caller. She answered a call from an advocate and friend of a post-op patient. The friend was unsure how to give care with the post-op instructions and called the nurseline for support. Paige realized some instructions were not clear and instead of telling the caller she didn't know and sending them back in, she went beyond her role and called to get the correct information. She spent over two hours calling on call doctors and surgeons to get the correct post-op care advice and ended up being able to speak directly to the surgeon. She advocated for her patient and was able to help avoid an unnecessary visit to the ED.

The last thing any patient wants after surgery is to come back into the hospital. Paige's determination allowed the friend to get all of her questions answered and allowed the patient to continue to heal at home knowing her post-op care was correct. Paige exemplified perseverance and wisdom while putting patient care first. It made such an impact that the friend called back the next day to thank Paige.
