Keri restored what little confidence I had in myself, and I was able to get control of myself and get situated.
During my almost full week stay here at Riverside Hospital, a nurse by the name of Keri stood out to me. She was always quick to help me when I would need anything, she was always courteous to me, but most of all she was very real with me. I’m a young man, 21 years of age but she never once treated me like a child. In one instance in the middle of the night, I was uncontrollably crying due to the fact that I had just had 2 surgeries back-to-back after my accident. It was hard for me to go to the restroom by myself seeing as I had a screw put into my foot. Keri was able to calm me down and told me that I didn’t just make it through what I did for something so trivial to take me down. She restored what little confidence I had in myself, and I was able to get control of myself and get situated. Keri, I believe, went out of her way to make sure I was okay. She had one last shift before her week off, and I was one of the 3 patients she got to pick even though she still ended up helping close to if not 6 other patients. I felt very lucky and blessed to have Nurse Keri taking care of me.
