My daughter has cancer and has to get labs once a week. She was scared to come in for the first time. I held her hand and we walked in together. The first nurse we met was Kaylee. She took all of my daughter’s worries away. She always has a smile on her face when she comes into the room. Kaylee is one of the few nurses who can access her port. Kaylee always puts my daughter’s needs first. We both love the work Kaylee does.

This patient always requests Kaylee to care for her when she comes in. Kaylee found out this patient was diagnosed with a second cancer and that she was working on creating a bucket list. Kaylee asked questions about the types of things on the list and then organized donations from the department to create a gift basket to support this bucket list. She presented the patient with the gift basket at one of her appointments so that she could take it with her to future cancer treatments. The patient and her mom were touched by this gesture of kindness.
