My father, J, has been a patient of Kevin Pupo for two days. Over the past few months, my father has spent a great deal of time at UPMC Montefiore and now UPMC East. Kevin has gone above and beyond to care for my father in a time when we were worried and scared about his health. Every chance I got to ask Kevin questions about my father’s health, I did. Kevin kindly took the time to answer all of them, without seeming in a rush, and for those questions that he could not answer, he reached out to the doctor and provided the answers the next day.

I know all places are short-staffed and the nurses are overworked but with Kevin, you would never know this. He entered the room every time with a smile on his face and his heart could not be any kinder. He was gentle with my father and the care he gives his patients is something I hope all patients receive. I know how extremely busy Kevin is with his patients, yet he took the time to sit with my father, to cut his nails, and shave his face for fear that my father would cut his face with how bad my father’s hands were shaking. For that, I will always be grateful as I want to keep my dad well-groomed and feeling comfortable. My father has been in UPMC East for about 13 days now and all of your nurses have done a great job, but Kevin has far exceeded my expectations of what the job qualifications are as a nurse. Thank you!
