At the start of the pandemic, colleagues on the 4C low-level monitoring unit at LVH–Cedar Crest demonstrated tremendous dedication to patient care when their unit opened as an overflow, low-level COVID-19 unit. They used an integrated model that combined nursing and advanced respiratory support therapies to care for patients with COVID-19. This team proves that anything is possible when you are willing to engage in new roles and learning opportunities to promote optimal patient outcomes. Recognizing the need for holistic patient care, this team of colleagues found innovative ways to ensure patients stayed connected to their families virtually. The group cared for one another like family during a difficult time for all. Congratulations!
