Ingrid came to Bayshore approximately 2 years ago as the Magnet director after working in HMH in different roles over the years. She completed the difficult task of completing the MAGNET document during an unprecedented pandemic which was a great feat. She was able to motivate individuals to continue to move forward with the MAGNET reapplication process. This is only the beginning of great things Ingrid has done for BMC since she has arrived. Ingrid shows continued enthusiasm for the best patient outcomes by revamping and restarting multiple nursing committees after the first wave of the pandemic brought everything to a halt. She is the chair of the falls committee and is an active member or liaison for multiple committees related to nursing quality indicators, patient outcomes, and quality improvement. She has navigated a multitude of regulatory surveys successfully. Ingrid mentors multiple nurses in different roles, including the staff nurses who run professional practice. Ingrid is the manager of the professional development team leading education for the clinical staff. She is dedicated to the excellence of the nurses at Bayshore and the nursing profession. Ingrid is down to earth and her door is always open. No matter how busy she is, she always takes the time to speak with you or address a concern you have. Ingrid is a role model of the HMH five C’s; courage, compassion, collaboration, connected, and creative. Ingrid continues to flourish in her career. She shows her dedication to nursing and education by exemplifying the role of a lifelong learner. She has a pioneering spirit and is inclined to take on any challenge placed before her.
