Morgan Kelley has exhibited total dedication to her nursing studies, receiving a 4.0 in prerequisites courses as well as her first semester in her accelerated BSN program. Recognizing the undeniable power of animal therapy in the betterment of patient morale and healing, Morgan volunteers her time with Pet Therapy visiting patients on a Medical Surgical Unit at the hospital where she completes clinical rotations. Morgan will also begin volunteering her time in the Emergency Department as she is fascinated with emergency medicine. Morgan holds the position of Secretary with Student Government at her nursing college and is organizing a Spring Community Blood drive with Community Blood Services of Illinois. She held the position of Class Representative the prior semester. Morgan volunteers tutoring migrant, immigrant, and refugee community members in English language learning and acquisition. After gaining a passion for service and global health while studying and volunteering in rural South Africa in 2016, Morgan hopes to use her nursing degree to work and volunteer in underprivileged communities lacking medical access across the globe.
