Reanna Barragan is one of the best nurses I have had the pleasure of working with. There was one night when IMCU was having an abundance of critical patients/situations, and heavy cardiac-related emergencies. One of Reanna’s patients started decompensating after coming from CT. She was taking care of the patient's immediate needs along with calmly teaching her student and giving them opportunities to learn. A little over an hour later the patient was stabilizing enough with the interventions where she could go for her lunch. Shortly after another patient became critical and called her to let her know we needed extra help while I was helping her patient's hypotensive needs and another patient having symptomatic potentially fatal dysrhythmias. Reanna was quick to help out and interrupt her lunch. We ended up having several rapids that night and with each one the patients becoming increasingly critical. Reanna was on top of helping out with the patients, newer nurses, and a student of her own. Reanna has a strong work ethic and it shinned that night. She is strong, knowledgeable, helpful, has a great sense of humor, and is a nurse who has your back. Reanna, I want to say thank you for all that you do, you are an incredible nurse and inspiring.
