Nurse Catrice was absolutely fantastic! We arrived from another hospital. Once we were situated in our room in the Duque building, we met nurse Catrice. She was extremely polite, patient, positive, nurturing, and compassionate. She made my daughter feel safe and comfortable. My daughter felt excited when Catrice would come into the room. She learned she needed surgery after being admitted. After surgery my daughter was upset about not being able to go home, she went above and beyond a nurse. She talked to my daughter and explained why it was important to stay in the hospital. She demonstrated compassion and empathy which made a difference in the patient’s experience. They laughed and built rapport with one another. Catrice shared personal stories that my daughter could relate to and this had a huge impact on having a positive experience. Everyone at Duque 5 unit we had contact with was amazing! We want to thank everyone, and nominate RN Catrice for an exceptional job in taking care of our daughter.
