I'd like to take this opportunity to individually nominate the first nurse that took care of me right after my infusaport was placed. Justin U'Ren has all the qualities required for the DAISY Award, and then some. Not taking away from the rest of the team at all, but I feel a special connection with her since she was my initial contact in the clinic, and took great care of both me and my son, answering a myriad of questions and reassuring both of us all the while. That really made all the difference. She unequivocally meets all of the VA ICARE Values - Integrity, Commitment, Advocacy, Respect, and Excellence.
