Keshia took the time to understand my questions and called the doctor for clarification and communicated the detailed answers to me in a totally professional manner.
What stood out to me about this nurse is that she is so energetic and upbeat. Her personality and pleasantness had a very positive effect on my own mood. I became less down and more energetic and outgoing which really helps with the healing process I was going through.

Keshia made a difference to me when I had several questions about my discharge summary. Several of my meds were changed in the dosages without explanation as to why. These meds were for conditions not related to the reason I was in the hospital. It was Black Friday, night shift, with a skeleton crew on hand so she was super busy. She took the time to understand my questions and called the doctor for clarification and communicated the detailed answers to me in a totally professional manner. She and another nurse also investigated the dilemma of how the medical center contacts me for follow-up when I do not use a telephone nor do I use voicemail due to my being deaf. They investigated options such as e-mail, text, MyChart, and me going to the appointment location in-person to talk and make appointments. We also looked at getting my primary care doctor involved. The attention I got by presenting this particular barrier was heartwarming. I expected to be brushed aside, saying nothing could be done, but boy was I wrong! Also, I was stuck at the hospital without a way to get home. My ride fell through and other optional drivers were not available. Keshia arranged a taxi voucher and called them for me. I give her the highest accolade. Great dedication and caring.
