My husband was a patient on the 6th floor. His father was also admitted in bad shape. CHF, kidney failure, No bottoming out. Basically, he was dying. My husband wanted to go see him but we needed a wheelchair that had the leg holder to keep his leg straight. Rhiannon Freeman and her co-worker joined forces to find a way to get a chair so that my husband could see his dad. In between doing their work they called around and looked everywhere for a chair. Meanwhile, someone from EVS heard them talking and told them he thought he had a chair that would work. So they brought this recliner chair that when you let the legs up the back did not lay back. Rhiannon put my husband in the chair and her co-worker took my husband to see his dad. That was not an easy task; my husband is 6'4" and weighs 280 pounds. It was a precious and priceless moment and one we will never forget!! When I was thanking the girls, they told us about the EVS employee and brought him to our room per our request so we could thank him! When I told the girls I was going to write a letter about this, both of them said they just wanted the EVS employee to get some togas! This shows me even more how precious these ladies are! Most people would not have even looked for a chair! Our hearts are full and overflowing over the kindness these three people showed to us! They definitely went above and beyond for us! I think they are superheroes and I thank them from the bottom of our hearts! May God bless!
