From the time we arrived in the MICU unit, Kayla was a very bright spot in our day. She not only took care of my mom’s medical needs, but she also established a relationship with her as well as my sister and me. She went out of her way to make my mom more comfortable in an unfamiliar place. Kayla would stop in to check on her and cheer her up even when she didn’t need anything. Kayla truly is an Extraordinary Nurse. Her love and compassion for her patients are clearly evident through her actions. She eased Mom’s anxiety of being in an unknown place. I, being her daughter, say these compliments about Kayla knowing that the entire MICU staff whom we encountered was top-notch. Every person that we spoke with from the nursing staff to the custodians were delightful people and all deserve kudos for giving excellent service. We were sent here from about 130 miles away due to bed availability. The little distance inconvenience was totally outweighed by the excellent care that our family received.
