After I had my son we couldn't go home the next day so my husband went home to stay with our 3 year old. I was sad to be alone for the night but Autumn was my nurse. She was amazing. Early that morning baby boy got upset and I started to panic because I wasn’t sure why he was crying, whether it was because he couldn't latch or if he was just uncomfortable. Autumn came in and helped me try a couple different positions to try to nurse him, she helped me try to latch him, she wrapped him up in his swaddle blankets and bounced him and got him calm and he slept for a good few hours so I could get some rest as well. She was so helpful and got baby to calm down quickly and well enough that I got some sleep. I really felt like she cared about me and my baby and the fact that I had to be without his dad for the night by myself. I mentioned her to the nurse who released us the next day and that nurse said that Autumn was a newer nurse and I was blown away. If she is newer and did that well for me and my son, I know she will be an awesome nurse and she was definitely meant to be there doing that job. Amazing nurse for sure! Thank you so much for everything you did for me that night.
