Nurse Cassie was able to comfort me and reassure me that everything was OK and everything was under control.
I first met Cassie when we came to the MICC for severe heartburn that my wife had at 31 weeks. She was very patient and eager to answer all of our questions on the day we were admitted to the hospital. Nurse Cassie was quick to get a set up in our room and help ease our minds about being admitted so early in my wife’s pregnancy. During our 10 days we stayed at the hospital Nurse Cassie checked in on us almost daily even when she wasn’t our assigned nurse. After the C-section, there were complications and my wife had to go back to the OR for severe blood loss. My wife had four blood transfusions and was placed in the ICU. This was the scariest moment of my life and I was overwhelmed. Nurse Cassie was able to comfort me and reassure me that everything was OK and everything was under control. Without her support through that time, I don’t know how I would have made it. She is a true DAISY Nurse.

Note: This is Cassie's 2nd DAISY Award!
