Rachael Moore is the definition of a leader. She will go into any patient room to help her staff out. She listens to what her staff has to say. She makes us feel important, heard, and informed. She communicates with us in an honest and professional manner. She is the reason her staff has stayed, especially during difficult times here. I have several examples of what makes her a DAISY Nurse Leader. 

One time my son was hospitalized, and she knew about it. She showed up, with my permission, to check on us. She spent time with us and made me feel like family. It meant more than she will ever know to me that she visited and checked on us daily.

Another time we had a patient visitor complaint. She stayed after normal hours, and she suited up in COVID gear to address the issue. I honestly don't know of another director who would do that. She sets an example for her coworkers on how to act, teach, care, and be involved with those surrounding her. She represents what Fairview Park is. She makes you feel like you matter. Her employees can count on her to be there any time she is needed. When there is a need, issue, or emergency on the floor she is right there. She has kept her class, kindness, and professionalism through change and extra staff load. I look up to her and am thankful for her impact on me. She makes sure our patients are well cared for and treated with respect. Everyone at Fairview matters and she sets an example of that.
