While an inpatient, I had another heart attack. I just knew that I started not feeling well. I called Cindy and told her, expecting her to tell me she would get me some sort of antacid but within what seemed like a few seconds she was in my room checking on me with an urgency that I hadn't expected. It was just a few minutes later she had the entire room full of providers. I was very nervous and scared but Cindy stayed right beside my bed. I don't know if she knows how big of a role she played in helping me get through that issue, not as a nurse but on a personal level, helping me stay calm and keeping me informed on what was going on. The whole staff was absolutely great at St. Luke's but in my opinion, Cindy went above and beyond while assigned as my nurse.
