No matter the situation, Michelle always does the right thing for her patients even if it takes longer, is more work, or is difficult to accomplish.
Michelle is one of the most humble nurses I have worked with over my 30 year career. It is clear why she became a nurse and anyone who knows her can tell you they love working with her! She is a team player focused on her patients and doing what is in their best interest and is never curt or short with anyone no matter the situation. She is a kind, compassionate, and truly genuine person who would do anything to help one of her patients their family member, or a co-worker. She is truly a role model for all of her peers and leaders as well no matter if they are “seasoned” or new to the profession. She upholds our hospital's HEART values and holds herself to a high standard. You will not find a kinder person than Michelle. She embodies what the heart and soul of nursing should be and how they should conduct themselves. Nursing became the trusted profession that it is because of people like Michelle. Florence Nightingale herself would proudly work alongside Michelle. No matter the situation, she always does the right thing for her patients even if it takes longer, is more work, or is difficult to accomplish. Michelle role models empathy not only for her patients but for others. She is always upbeat and hard at work resolute in staying busy with patient care or other tasks like helping others. She is always professional and carries herself with poise. I have never once seen her be rude or disrespectful to anyone. She simply doesn’t have it in her she is too kind of a person. She is fairly new to our team (at least compared to a lot of us “old-timers”) but you’d never know it. She takes exceptional care of her patients and is a trusted member of our team whether she is working L & D or Mother/Baby. She is an excellent nurse and has demonstrated her clinical competence in a specialty area that is not always easy to learn. We are lucky to have her on our team and our patients are lucky to be in her care. Michelle is a true DAISY Nurse.
