Wendy was my educational introduction to the nursing profession and even though I'm almost done with school, her influence has stayed with me every step of the way. Not only is she professional and incredibly intelligent, but is warm, caring, compassionate, and truly has a desire to educate the next generation of nurses. Her lectures were always thought out, well planned, and executed with the utmost respect to our questions. She created a safe environment to explore and inquire and did so without judgment or condescension. Her ability to tie concepts together with room for further exploration is incredible. Her efforts to educate are not unnoticed and I still find myself hoping my scholastic and nursing efforts will be approved by Wendy. At times when I have achieved a good score on a test or ATI exam, I have found myself emailing Wendy to show her how good of a foundation she created that I can score as high as I do. She gives students the tools needed to research, question, and learn about the profession. Wendy goes above and beyond what is required for an introduction to nursing class, and I can't be happier with my experience at Ameritech, all because of Wendy. Wendy always cares about students’ perspectives and feelings. She truly tries to include everyone and make them feel good and comfortable. She is an excellent instructor, especially for the first semester.
