Lynn took my hand, placed a cool cloth on my head, and calmly reassured me.
I would like to share my experience with Nurse Lynn. After surgery at BAS Fort Worth, I, unfortunately, had some complications. I returned to the ER shortly after. Lynn was assigned to my room. Upon first arriving in my room Lynn came to my bed, took my hand, introduced herself and we communicated why I was there. By first taking my hand, she immediately had a calming effect on me. I will skip over some boring details but my whole experience, in the over 5 hours I spent that night in the ER was not a good experience. EXCEPT for Lynn!! Long story short, I had to return the next day per instructions to get an antibiotic shot. Again, Lynn was my nurse. The shot made me nauseated. Again, Lynn took my hand, placed a cool cloth on my head, and calmly reassured me.

Once again, the following day I found myself in the ER for the 3rd straight day. Again, Lynn was my nurse. Once again, the first thing she did was take my hand and discuss why I was there. She explained that I would probably be admitted. She was correct and as the transport came to take me to a room, Nurse Lynn took my hand one final time and again reassured me that I was going to be OK.

Lynn is not only a great nurse; she is a good and decent person. BAS should be proud of Lynn!! She is a great example of BAS. Thank you, Lynn, for your compassion, caring, and understanding. My son is a new RN and I have told him, I hope he shows each of his patients the same, compassion, caring, and understanding that you showed me.
