Jason's compassion and concern were obvious when advocating for his patients while planning care in the hospital and after discharge.
In the clinical setting, Jason regularly displayed the core nursing attributes of kindness, compassion, equity, commitment, and advocacy. His interactions with patients were consistently warm and caring, providing needed care fairly and impartially to all. He was always friendly and his considerate demeanor put his patients at ease. He often expressed great concern for his patients who had difficult circumstances due to their illnesses. His compassion and concern were obvious when advocating for his patients while planning care in the hospital and after discharge. He has a commitment to his patients, learning about their particular needs, and has been a resource for peers.

Jason’s preceptor stated, “He was a pleasure to work with and always responded to patients’ needs, even while handling a full load.” He has been committed to his peers and provided strong leadership to make the pinning ceremony a success. Jason has grown into a truly Extraordinary Nursing Student. I personally cannot wait to see how far he goes. Congratulations, Jason Wehling.
