Our nurse Hannah was very knowledgeable about Crohn’s disease and gave us peace of mind knowing that she understood his treatment process.
My 2-year-old son was diagnosed with Crohn's in September and has been getting monthly infusion treatments. My son caught, what we found to be a stomach bug and became dehydrated and we brought him to the emergency department for dehydration. I have an autoimmune disease, type one diabetes, and know firsthand how some medical professionals like to focus on the disease and not other non-related issues. While waiting in the waiting room I prayed he would have a good doctor and nurse who would understand the infusion he had the day prior. We were blessed with the perfect nurse for him. Our nurse Hannah was very knowledgeable about Crohn’s disease and gave us peace of mind knowing that she understood his treatment process, due to her own personal experience with Crohn's and auto-immune diseases. She took the time to ask us questions and answer any questions we had for her. We couldn’t have asked for a better nurse with great patient care.
