I had a right knee replacement recently. Dante arrived the morning after my surgery when I was at my worst. I was uncomfortable, exhausted, and overwhelmed physically and emotionally. The nursing team was trying to find the cocktail of meds and other interventions to make me most comfortable and It was determined that my low hemoglobin was causing extreme exhaustion. Dante’s calm bedside manor, in addition to his ability to advocate for me to the medical team to help me get comfortable quickly was so appreciated. He also made sure that myself and my husband understood what and why I was experiencing these things and what to expect as the day progressed. He was professional, genuine and compassionate in every interaction. I truly felt that he wanted what was best for me and understood that our relationship was a team effort. He answered questions and provided information so that my husband and I could make informed decisions about my care. He is truly a super hero in my book!
