Celia was often able to soothe my husband when I could not.
Celia was very compassionate with both my husband and me. She was very patient and listened carefully to his complaints as well as his stories. She was often able to soothe him when I could not. My husband was on hospice for COPD with hypoxia but had a cascade of other health failures, CHF, renal failure, liver cirrhosis, and he was medication sensitive. He also had open wounds on his legs due to PAD and long-term poor circulation. Celia juggled his myriad health problems and several times made unscheduled visits when I notified her of a problem. She advocated for him when other visiting staff objected to our dog Candy being left out. Candy was very friendly and gentle, but even more, was an enormous help in keeping my husband calm during her visits. Candy was his nursemaid and best friend next to me and Celia recognized her importance to him. We could not have asked for anyone better to help with his end-of-life care.
