When Kelsey got off that night she floated in here with 3 pieces of wrapping paper and made me a little Christmas tree.
Nurse Kelsey has been a little angel to me. I have been hospitalized for 10 days. Kelsey always shows up with a smile that brightens my day. She is very professional, always explaining everything she is doing and why. Kelsey always takes a little time to ask how I am feeling and about my family. I am sure Kelsey's mom and dad are very proud of her! I am!
One night before Christmas, I told her that I wished there was some red or so in the room just to brighten it up. Well, you can only imagine the most wonderful little surprise I received when Kelsey got off that night she floated in here with 3 pieces of wrapping paper and made me a little Christmas tree. The most precious Christmas tree and then she placed a little star and hung 2 blue stockings on both sides. The thought just touched my heart and soul. Bless her heart. She worked very hard for 12 long hours but her beautiful heart and sweetest disposition and caring of others were still brightening times for others.
On Christmas day Kelsey brought me a bag of popcorn and a little bag with Santa socks, a candy cane, and an envelope of hot chocolate. I am saving it all to take home to remember her. St. Vincent is very blessed to have Kelsey as one of your nurses. I will never forget her! I have learned a lot about life here. I promise to get all of my vaccines and booster shots! Thank you for taking care of me! God bless you!
