Brooke was amazing on our first day of clinical at ETCH. She made a point to search out students so they had an opportunity to learn. She included the patients in trach care, cath, assessments, medication admin, and made sure that even if they weren’t allowed to complete the task, they were included in the care. Nursing school during covid has been difficult and these students said they finally felt like they were learning how to be a nurse. Every student present said today was the best clinical day they’ve had and Brooke played a big role in that. Her compassion for her patients shines through. She is an amazing nurse and the teamwork the students were able to see was refreshing.
