I want to recognize Alissa for how hard she works and how compassionate she is with her patients. She really goes the extra mile to listen to her patients and make them more comfortable. Two recent examples include her assisting with getting a patient out of bed who hadn’t been out of bed for 2 days. This made the patient feel better as well as put a smile on his son’s face to see his father out of bed. That same day, Alissa was walking with a patient who was going to miss his grandson’s birthday. He was very emotional about this but Alissa chatted with him during the entire walk which had a positive impact on his mood. Alissa is very proactive with her patients. She is very helpful to her colleagues. She’s always willing to help and is very compassionate when doing so. We are so lucky to have her on our unit.
