Alexxa not only found the way to help my mom to that measure, but she did so with the greatest of empathy and compassion.
We had a good many nurses over the course of our short stay at St. Mary’s hospital. But there was one lady that stood above them all, one young lady named Alexxa. My mother was admitted to your hospital. On Monday, she went on to be with Jesus. My mom didn’t even realize she had Covid until she arrived at your facility. But by Saturday, we soon saw how Covid can so very quickly become a deadly enemy.

From Saturday forward, my mom began struggling with discomfort and pain. Each of your staff tried to help her. But there was something very special about Alexxa; she outshined all others with her extreme care, compassion, and efficiency. Alexxa was the last nurse to care for my mom before her passing. Alexxa cared for my mom during her last 9 hours on this earth. Immediately when Alexxa began her shift, she wanted to help my mom who was under stress and discomfort from her condition. My mom had been asking for help to alleviate the pain and discomfort, and only Alexxa was able to relieve my mom completely. What a relief it was to see my mom peaceful rather than struggling during those last hours of her life.

Alexxa not only found the way to help my mom to that measure, but she did so with the greatest of empathy and compassion. She was so gentle, warm, and caring with her approach. This is why it was of such importance for me to take this time to notify you of how much we appreciate your outstanding employee, Alexxa. I am asking that you please share with her this letter I have written. I want her to know how much we appreciate each and every effort she made for my mom. It meant the world to us then and it still lives on in our hearts now. Thank you for providing such an excellent staff member as Alexxa! God Bless!
