Despite all the challenges that Steven has faced being a brand new nurse manager of a brand new medicine unit staffed with all new graduate nurses, during trying times dealing with the Covid pandemic, he shows up every day with a huge smile on his face, a positive attitude, and an unwavering passion and dedication to his staff and patients. During appreciative coaching leader rounds, Steven and I met with a patient on TH14 West who spoke very highly of Steven. The patient stated that she has been on almost every unit at TH/KP, and is admitted about 10 times a year. She wanted me to know that TH14 West has been the only unit that has provided her with an incredibly positive experience. She stated, "The nurses on this unit are amazing, they are so caring, compassionate, and responsive to my every need, and it is all credited to this guy right here, and his leadership." Steven amplifies the core values of the nursing profession, I am truly honored to have him on my leadership team. I look forward to supporting his professional growth and am confident that he will accomplish big things in his career.
