Kyle loved us through the phone, he was completely amazing.
The Chief Nursing Officer received a phone call from the daughter of a patient who recently passed away from COVID-19. The patient wanted to make sure that Kyle was recognized for the care he gave not only for her father, but her family. She stated that during her father’s last days, “Kyle was a constant, he was so kind and loving, holding my dad’s hand, rubbing his chest, cleaning his face, cleaning his mouth, and setting up video chat with the family. We won’t have scars from this experience because of the staff. Kyle loved us through the phone, he was completely amazing. God’s hands were in this for placing my dad at WAMC.”

If you peek in the room of one of Kyle's patients, you will often see him engaging in conversation with and attending to blanket placement and all other needs. He is truly a wonderful bedside nurse. When there are times when family cannot visit patients, he makes sure they are still in the loop through video chats or speaking to family members with updates. One family stated that "He loved us through the phone". Besides the extraordinary patient care, he is a team player. He will catch call lights, float without complaint, and assist with almost any need. He often has a song when working that you can hear him singing. Music really can sooth the beasts at times. I know above all else that he tries his best every single shift. He can brighten a dark day.
