The COVID PCU was super super busy today and Lauren came as a resource nurse from the OR to help out. She didn’t really know what to do but she stepped up and was a tremendous help to the unit. She took all the patients' blood sugars, answered call lights, and did everything she could to help us. We were all drowning today and we simply could not have made it through the day without her help. She even stayed late to make sure we were all okay. She never complained and was just constantly working all day to help all the other nurses. It must have been so difficult being put in a completely different nursing role but she could not have done a better job. Thank you, Lauren, for stepping up and making not only the nurses' lives in the unit better but also improving the care of the patients!
