Kayla always put my worried mama heart a little more at ease, even during the most stressful time.
Kayla was with us early on in our stay and we were fortunate to have her multiple times for the majority of our time at CHOP. Kayla cared for our son as if he was her own, even with a mask on you could just tell she was always smiling and happy to be around! Not only was she phenomenal with our son, but she also handled my husband and me with extreme care, compassion, and sympathy as well! It was a scary, stressful, and unknown time for us and she always made us feel at ease. She listened to our concerns, explained things in a way that we could understand, and was a shoulder to cry on (many times)! We ended up still being admitted on our son's first Valentine's Day and Kayla took it upon herself to coordinate with Child Life Services to have a special craft made for him. She wrote him a goodbye card that I will cherish forever! I cannot say enough about Kayla's confidence and demeanor - she always put my worried mama heart a little more at ease, even during the most stressful time. Kayla, if you are reading this we wish you the very best both personally and professionally! We will continue to think of you during all of our baby's first holidays, milestones, and beyond. You have become a part of our family and we love you!
