Brittany was wonderful with my father during his time in the ICU with Covid-19. Brittany took care of my father over several shifts and allowed him to rest which was so important to him. I asked Brittany to follow up with my father to determine his wishes if it was decided that he needed to be intubated. She had that conversation with him all while providing comfort and understanding of his emotional state. She let me know that they had talked and that he was tearful but able to maintain his composure and ask appropriate questions. I am sure that these are very difficult conversations to have and I was so thankful that she was willing to talk to him so that the family would know how to proceed. Thankfully we did not have to cross that bridge. Brittany helped us to navigate the ICU setting, provided us with the information that we needed so that we could all rest, and did a fantastic job keeping us informed of next steps.
