Chris took time to just talk with me, reassure me, make me feel comfortable and safe, and made sure he got all my medicine to me.
I came into the ED for congestive heart failure. I was not happy with the way my care was being directed. I was transferred to the 4th floor. Chris had just come on to shift. I had been in the ED for a day and was missing important medicines and had not seen the doctor. I told Chris, I was getting ready to leave. I was so unhappy. He reassured me, I was in good hands and he would take care of me. He provided all the information I asked for. He ran down to the ED to get my medicine from my family. He took it right to the pharmacy and got it pushed through. He contracted the doctor and something I needed for a headache was ordered which no one else had. He took time to just talk with me, reassure me, make me feel comfortable and safe, and made sure he got all my medicine to me. He was very compassionate and caring. He was very professional and on top of things when so many other nurses just didn’t seem to care. He is a true asset to the unit and a true example of what a nurse is and should be. I was blessed to have him.
