Susan has been my night nurse for 3 nights. She is so caring and compassionate. The first night she was with me, I got the devastating news that my 16-year-old daughter was admitted to another hospital in the area. Susan sat with me, listened, and took time to offer comfort. It was such a blessing since I was in isolation, away from all family and loved ones. Susan asked about my daughter repeatedly throughout her shift and each of the next shifts she worked. She never made me feel rushed and I know she is super overworked with the staff shortages. Susan provided me with lots of helpful suggestions and comfort for myself while I have been here and just knowing she has been watching the halls to time her visits with someone else coming in, so she does not have to wake me up multiple times a night is a blessing. I could not feel better cared for, and when you can’t have family around, it helps immensely to have caring people like Susan to fill in!
